Q Where on

A

of Cayman Kai in the northern district of Grand Cayman, the largest of the three
(3) Cayman Islands.
The physical address for the villa is:
218 Water Cay Road, Cayman Kai,
Cayman Islands. Courier packages may be delivered to you at this
address during your stay but regular mail should be addressed to Villa Bellagio,
P.O. Box 181 West Bay, Grand Cayman.
Q Is
your Grand Cayman vacation rental on a cove or
a lagoon?
A Some
brochures and text articles have incorrectly described the body of water on
which our Cayman home and a large portion of the vacation homes in the Cayman
Kai area of Grand Cayman are located, as a
lagoon. It is not a lagoon but in fact a cove or bay.
The cove on which our Grand Cayman Islands vacation villa is situated is not
separated from the ocean because there is a narrow entrance directly to the
ocean (large enough for smaller boats up to about 35 -40 feet in length);
therefore, this can not be defined as a lagoon and should not be confused as a
lagoon. This cove is a part of the ocean and lends to great protection from
hurricanes for the homes within it.
Wikipedia defines a cove as:
A cove usually refers to a
coastal
landform.
Earth scientists generally use the term to
describe a circular or round
inlet with a narrow
entrance, though colloquially the term is sometimes used to describe any
sheltered
bay.
Everythingbio.com defines a bay as:
a part of a sea or lake indenting the shore
line; the word is
often applied to very large tracts of water around which the land forms a curve
Wikipedia defines a lagoon as
A
lagoon
is a body of comparatively shallow
salt or
brackish water separated from the deeper
sea by a shallow or exposed
sandbank,
coral reef, or similar feature. Thus, the enclosed body of water
behind a
barrier reef or
barrier islands or enclosed by an
atoll reef is called a lagoon
Q
Where are the fins for the snorkels?
A
We do not have fins because it would be virtually impossible for us to keep fins
that would be suitable to all sizes.
Q
We found some snorkels and masks, where are the rest?
A
Some is all that may be there at the time of your visit as these are left in the
care and consideration of our guests and we have found that some guests can
actually be very uncaring of “free” things. We do try to replace or repair these
so that every group will have some use of them; however, we are unable to
guarantee the condition of these.
Guest who wish to have complete sets of snorkel gear (snorkels & masks are
rented separately from fins) should rent these from
www.emptysuitcases.com
Q
The bicycle tires need air.
A
We try to make sure tires are inflated prior to each arrival however, guests are
responsible for them during their stay. Please use our bicycle pump provided to
inflate the tires. This is another amenity with that “no charge” fee
attached and are left in the care and consideration of our guests.
Q
Where is the second tank of propane?
A
Second tank? Currently, we provide 1 tank per stay, should you run out, you will
have to get your own refill (because they are not paying for it, many guests
leave the tanks on after use and air escapes)
*** We have plans for
a built in charcoal grill as salt corrosion has lead to the replacement of 3
stainless Propane grills in the past 4 years (the salt corrodes the burner
elements in the grills rendering them useless with propane) therefore, you may
find a charcoal grill for which charcoal purchase will be necessary.
