A Grand Cayman Vacation Villa Rental Property

Get To Know Your Hostesses

Adding to your Grand Cayman Island villa vacation experience is the unique feature that this Grand Cayman vacation home is owned by “born” Caymanians (both owners were born in the Cayman Islands and are direct descendents of born Caymanians), this in itself sets our Cayman rental villa apart from other island vacation homes. In addition to being owned by “born” Caymanians, Villa Bellagio Cayman comes with a sense of confidence and reliably because both owners reside on the Grand Cayman Island year round and are not renting this home from some remote location elsewhere in the world.

Your hostesses are a mother and daughter team, Liz, the mother and Lisa, the daughter. Both were born in the district of West Bay on Grand Cayman and are quite proud to call this wonderful Caribbean island home.  Both still reside primarily in West Bay but find ourselves out at the Grand Cayman vacation villas quite often.

Liz is a divorcee with 2 daughters, Lynn (married to an American and has 4 American born children) and Lisa (the other owner of Bellagio), and has a "herd" of 7 grand children ages 2-20.

Liz enjoys the Caymanian traditional art of thatch work (weaving the Silver Thatch straw into baskets, hats and other things). Her work is proudly displayed in the Cayman Islands National Museum in George Town and the Mission House in Bodden Town (these works can be purchased and are a treasure in a fading culture)

She has much knowledge of the Caymanian way of life and is able to give visitors insight into the Grand Cayman Island heritage and culture (she loves to show visitors the art of straw work and is happy to do so whenever possible), her most recent exhibition was Art at The Governor’s on Seven (&) Mile Beach, Grand Cayman islands.

She is a master cook of local Caymainan dishes and her family has been prodding her for years to sell her dishes to the general public, be it in a restaurant or meals on wheels type of business. Her Cayman cassava cakes are to die for and she makes them all from scratch (cassava cake making is a major process in itself). Each Sunday her family gathers at her home for Sunday lunch, a treat the grand kids wait all week for.

Liz has managed a vacation home on Seven (7) Mile Beach for an American gentleman for over 10 years.

Lisa is married to Chet who is American born and they have 3 children, ages 2-20, 2 of which are also Americans and 1 is Caymanian born.

Lisa has been in the management business for almost 20 years, managing commercial properties (1990-current), apartment complexes (13 unit apratment complex 1990 -2004) and residential homes (1992-current).

1990 until 2004, Lisa was the General Manager for one of Grand Caymans’ leaders in the construction industry and the general contractor (Jimmy Powell and Cayman Contractors Ltd.) for all of Brian E Butler’s properties built on the Seven (7) Mile Beach of Grand Cayman (the last property built by Cayman Contractors Ltd was the Meridian in 2004)

During this time she was also the Office Manager for Cayman Custom Cabinets Ltd. (the oldest established cabinet manufacturing company on Grand Cayman). Retiring from these jobs only to spend more time at home with her kids, she has found that the management business is too much a part of her life to give it up all together.

Spending time with her kids is first priority but Lisa enjoys her pets, 5 cats, to which she has allergies and 2 dogs.

Liz and Lisa are delighted to be hands on owners. Contrary to most other Cayman rental villa owners, many of whom reside outside of the islands, rent their homes from remote locations and have not seen their Cayman vacation villas in as many as 3, 6 or more months, when they are not relaxing at this Grand Cayman Islands vacation home themselves, they can be found visiting Bellagio to ensure that the property is secure and that all furnishings, fixtures and amenities are in fair working condition. This is their vacation home as well as yours and they want to be able to enjoy every moment spent here.

They believe that the only way to give guests a real villa experience is to know first hand what is happening with the home. They are not just concerned with the income (although of course this helps us to be able to continue our own enjoyment of this vacation rental), they want guests to have the same “home like” experience and feeling that they do when they are there and the only way to adequately administer this is to be intimately involved with all aspects of the running of our home.

Villa Bellagio Cayman is mainly marketed by themselves with, Lisa being the main agent for questions, answers, reservations and comments but the Cayman property is listed with a few agents; therefore, you may find us on other larger sites with listings for more Grand Cayman Islands rental villas.

Villa Bellagio Cayman is one of the largest vacation rental villas on Grand Cayman (licensed to sleep up to 13 in beds) and happy to say they are also one of the VERY BEST choices for vacationers. "We believe that our personal hands on service is one of the most valuable amenities that we offer our guests and find that this service has been greatly appreciated."
